Reds 8U won big over Cheshire Aviators Rec team 16-4 on Sunday at McNamera Field.

Reds 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tyler P singled, and Liam S grounded out, each scoring one run.

Reds 8U scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Bryce P tripled, scoring one run, Colin L singled, scoring one run, Luke F doubled, scoring one run, and Liam S singled, scoring two runs.

Reds 8U scored five runs on one hit in the top of the fourth inning. Grant S drew a walk, scoring one run, Emelio P drew a walk, scoring one run, Gio B was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Antonio F drew a walk, scoring one run, and Colin L drew a walk, scoring one run.

Tyler P opened the game for Reds 8U. They allowed two hits and four runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking five. Dom G pitched two innings of no-run ball for Reds 8U in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out four and walking three.

Reds 8U accumulated 12 hits in the game. Liam S provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Reds 8U with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Luke F, Tyler P, Colin L, Liam S, and Nick M each collected two hits for Reds 8U. Reds 8U worked the count all day, tallying eight walks (one ordered as intentional to Tyler). Reds 8U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Grant S had the most chances in the field with six.

Ryan M paced Cheshire Aviators 8U with two walks and two stolen bases. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks of their own for the game.

Luke Leads Reds 8U Past Cheshire Aviators 8U

Luke F was dominant on the hill, as he recorded 11 of 12 outs via the strikeout in the Reds 11-0 victory over Cheshire Aviators 8U on Sunday at McNamera Field. Luke F gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings while walking one.

Reds 8U jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Liam S singled, scoring three runs, and Bryce P drew a walk, scoring one run.

Reds 8U added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Cheshire Aviators 8U committed an error, and Antonio F scored after tagging up, each scoring one run.

Reds 8U scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. A passed ball scored one run, Oliver T singled, scoring two runs, and Antonio F singled, scoring two runs.

Michael D led things off on the hill for Cheshire Aviators 8U. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and four runs over one inning, striking out two and walking five.

Oliver T and Antonio F each drove in two runs for Reds 8U. Liam S led Reds 8U with two hits in two at bats. Reds 8U had patience at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game, including another Intentional walk for Tyler. Luke F and Gio B led the team with two walks each. Grant S, Gio B, and Bryce P each stole multiple bases for Reds 8U. Reds 8U ran wild on the base paths, tallying nine stolen bases for the game. Reds 8U didn't commit a single error in the field. Grant S had the most chances in the field with nine.

Jaxon F went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Cheshire Aviators 8U in hits.
