Reds 8U Defeat CT Grind Behind Strong Performance From Tyler

Tyler P was dominant on the mound, as the righty rang up 11 strikeouts in Reds 8U's 7-4 victory over CT Grind on Tuesday. Tyler P gave up four hits and four runs over six innings while walking four.

CT Grind got on the board in the top of the first inning after #17 singled, and #8 grounded out, each scoring one run.

A single by #11 extended the CT Grind lead to 3-1 in the top of the second inning.

A walk by #17 extended the CT Grind lead to 4-1 in the top of the third inning.

Reds 8U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take a 6-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Liam S on an 0-2 count that drove in two.

#10 opened the game for CT Grind. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and six runs over three and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking four.

Liam S provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Reds 8U with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Luke F, Tyler P, Colin L, Grant S, Liam S, and Antonio F each collected one hit for Reds 8U. Reds 8U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Grant S had the most chances in the field with nine.
