Cheshire Reds Travel Across the Northeast for Memorial Day Tournament Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend was packed with baseball and memories for the Cheshire Reds, as four teams hit the road to compete in high-level tournaments across the Northeast.
⚾ 8U & 9U – Lasorda Legacy Park (Yaphank, NY)
The Reds 8U and 9U squads both made the trip to Lasorda Legacy Park on Long Island, taking the field at one of the premier youth baseball complexes in the region. From competitive matchups to team bonding off the field, it was a weekend to remember for both age groups.
8U: The youngest Reds put together strong performances and gained valuable experience in their first travel tournament of the season.
9U: With solid pitching and clutch hitting, the 9U group battled through a tough bracket and continued to build momentum heading into summer.
⚾ 11U – Ripken Experience (Aberdeen, MD)
The 11U team made the iconic trip to Ripken Aberdeen, playing on replicas of MLB stadiums and soaking in the full Ripken Experience. From fast play to dugout camaraderie, this trip combined serious baseball with unforgettable fun.
The Reds 11U showed heart and hustle throughout the tournament, representing the program with class and competitiveness.
⚾ 12U – May Massacre (Hershey, PA)
The 12U Reds headed to Hershey, PA for the May Massacre Tournament, facing off against top talent from across the Mid-Atlantic. Despite tough competition, the Reds played hard and continued to build chemistry ahead of their playoff push.
The trip offered more than just baseball — with team activities, Hershey attractions, and lasting memories for players and families alike.
As always, the Cheshire Reds program continues to prioritize player development, team culture, and creating experiences that last beyond the game. Memorial Day Weekend was a huge success across every age level.
