Game Summary:

Cheshire Reds 8U vs. CT GATors

In this matchup, the Reds 8U team traveled to Stratford and displayed their offensive prowess with a barrage of hits and well-executed plays, while the Gators 8U team fought hard to keep pace.

The Reds got off to a strong start, capitalizing on errors and walks to take an early lead. Despite the Gators efforts to rally back with walks and timely hits of their own, the Reds maintained their lead throughout the game.

Key moments included a double by T Pearsall in the top of the 6th inning, where he not only drove in runs but also showcased his speed on the basepaths. The Gators showed resilience, scoring multiple runs in the bottom of the 5th inning, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Reds' lead.

Overall, it was an exciting game filled with offensive fireworks and impressive plays on both sides. The Reds 8U team celebrated a well-deserved victory, while the Gators team showed determination and grit until the very end.

Cheshire Reds 8U vs. STB SIEGE 8u

Reds 8U easily dispatched STB SIEGE 8U on Sunday, 12-0.

Reds 8U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tyler P walked, and Liam S grounded out, each scoring one run.

Reds 8U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Colin L singled, Luke F singled, Tyler P doubled, Liam S singled, and Oliver T singled, each scoring one run.

Reds 8U scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. An error scored two runs, Colin L tripled, scoring one run, and Tyler P singled, scoring two runs.

Luke F earned the win for Reds 8U. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Tyler P provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Reds 8U with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-2 on the day. Tyler P and Colin L each collected two hits for Reds 8U. Reds 8U had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 11 walks for the game. Luke F, Grant S, and Gio B led the team with two free passes each. Luke F, Tyler P, Emelio P, and Antonio F each stole multiple bases for Reds 8U. Reds 8U ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 11 stolen bases for the game. Reds 8U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Grant S had the most chances in the field with seven.

Tyler P drove in six runs on three hits to lead Reds 8U past STB SIEGE 8U 21-8 on Sunday. Tyler P hit a grand slam over the center field fence in the fifth scoring four, doubled to left in the sixth scoring two, and singled in the first scoring one.

Reds 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Luke F doubled, Tyler P singled, Grant S singled, Gio B walked, and Nick M doubled, each scoring one run.

STB SIEGE 8U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take a 7-5 lead.

STB SIEGE 8U added one run in the third. Caleb A walked, making the score 8-5.

The Reds nibbled back with key hits in the fourth by Liam S, Grant S, and Nick M to make it 8-7. The game became tied after an RBI single by Dom G in the fifth, and broken wide open after the grand slam by Tyler P. on an 0-2 count in the same inning. 12-8.

Reds 8U scored nine runs on five hits in the top of the sixth inning. Grant S singled, scoring one run, Gio B singled, scoring one run, Antonio F grounded out, scoring one run, Oliver T, Dom G, Emelio P, Bryce P, and Nick M all drew walks, scoring one run, Luke F singled, scoring two runs, and Tyler P doubled, scoring two runs.

Antonio F stepped on the mound first for Reds 8U. The righty allowed zero hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking seven. Dom G, Bryce P, and Nick M each came on in relief for Reds 8U and shutdown STB SIEGE 8U.
