Reds 8U Defeat Smash Factory 8U On Multiple Hit Performance By Liam

Liam S collected three hits in three at bats, as Reds 8U defeated Smash Factory 8U 11-3 on Saturday. Liam S doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the second inning.

Tyler P struck out 11 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also surrendered three hits and two runs over four innings while walking two.

Smash Factory 8U got on the board in the top of the second inning after Nate G singled, and , each scoring one run.

Reds 8U tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a single by Antonio F, and a steal of home by Oliver T.

Reds 8U took the lead in the bottom of the third. Luke F grounded out, scoring one run, to give Reds 8U the upper hand, 3-2.

Lucas K started on the hill for Smash Factory 8U. They surrendered 10 hits and six runs (five earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking none. Dom G appeared in relief for Reds 8U.

Reds 8U piled up 17 hits in the game. Tyler P and Liam S each collected three hits for Reds 8U. Luke F and Oliver T each collected multiple hits for Reds 8U. Oliver T stole four bases. Reds 8U stole six bases in the game. Reds 8U didn't commit a single error in the field. Grant S had the most chances in the field with nine.

Nate G went 2-for-2 at the plate as the shortstop led the team with one run batted in.
