Reds 8U Defeats Monarchs 8U On Back Of Clutch Display From Luke

Luke F drove in five runs on three hits to lead Reds 8U past Monarchs 8U 17-4 on Friday. Luke F hit an inside the park home run in the fifth scoring three, doubled in the first scoring one, and singled in the third scoring one.

Reds 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Luke F doubled, Tyler P singled, and Reds 8U scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.

Reds 8U scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Nick M singled, scoring one run, Luke F singled, scoring one run, Tyler P singled, scoring one run, Tyler P scored after tagging up, and Liam S singled, scoring one run.

Reds 8U scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning. Luke F hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs, Antonio F singled, scoring one run, and Gio B drew a walk, scoring one run.

Tyler P stepped on the hill first for Reds 8U. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two. Luke F threw one inning of no-run ball for Reds 8U in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Reds 8U collected 13 hits in the game. Luke F and Tyler P were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Reds 8U. Colin L collected two hits for Reds 8U in two at bats. Reds. 8U had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Nick M, Colin L, Grant S, and Liam S led the team with two walks each. Colin L stole three bases.

Luke V led the team with one run batted in. Avery C led Monarchs 8U with one hit in three at bats. Simon D led Monarchs 8U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Simon D and Nathan I each stole multiple bases for Monarchs 8U. Monarchs 8U ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game.

Reds 8U will travel to HBC 8U for their next game on Thursday.
